Captivate Partnership Manager
Location: Inspire HQ or Kirkby in Ashfield Library (to be agreed with the successful candidate)
Contract Type: Part-time, Fixed-term
Closing Date: 25 October 2019
Salary: £35,934 - £40,760 (pro-rata for part time employees)
Specific Hours: 15 hours per week, to be worked flexibly to meet service needs
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving the lives of Nottinghamshire’s children and young people, giving them access to high quality arts, culture and creative learning.
Captivate is the Local Cultural Education Partnership for Nottinghamshire whose aim is to make it easier for schools to connect with arts, cultural and heritage organisations, to give children and young people and their families access to high-quality, inspiring cultural education opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for the power of the arts in education. We seek someone with recent experience of working in education or the cultural sector who will be able to demonstrate knowledge of issues currently facing schools and learning settings. Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of partnership working, successful bid writing and managing arts development and/or educational programmes, and effectively connecting and communicating within professional networks. Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their knowledge and understanding of innovation and best practice in cultural education, to work as part of a supportive and expert team and make a real difference to the lives of children and young people in Nottinghamshire.
The postholder will be an employee of Inspire: Culture, Learning and Libraries, the lead partner for Captivate. Inspire is a charitable community benefit society delivering cultural, library and learning services across Nottinghamshire. Inspire is a member of the Arts Council England National Portfolio.
The post involves working two days per week. The postholder will be based at either Kirkby in Ashfield Library or Inspire HQ, Nottingham, and will involve county wide travel and opportunities for homeworking.
The post is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2022.
