Art and design workshops for schools at New Art Exchange

This experienced team of Associate Artists provides art workshops for all ages and abilities in the galleries and in local schools. Contemporary art exhibitions are the stimulus for creative learning: students are encouraged to engage with current issues through discussion as well as practical art activities.

Many sessions are cross-curricular with Geography, History, Citizenship, and PSHE being the subjects most frequently addressed, in addition to Art and Design.

Students and teaching staff are encouraged to be imaginative, creative and expressive in the workshops. A menu of workshop options relating to each exhibition is advertised on a termly basis, but content can be flexible to ensure that the workshops are relevant to each school’s curriculum plans.
