Climate Youth Work through Arts - a toolbox workshop

You are invited to attend a free workshop for Youth Workers and Arts Practitioners wanting to develop ways of working with the arts and groups of young people on climate issues. This workshop will launch a new Arts Educational toolbox devised from the Erasmus+ project: Codename Seedling.
As well as workshopping some of the activities from the toolbox, attendees will receive a digital copy of the toolbox, so they can run these activities with their groups of young people. There will be the opportunity to take part in follow-up feedback on the activities

Captivate Network Hosts: This is a practical hands-on workshop looking at collagraph printing, using materials and textures that are readily available. You will be shown how this process can be adapted for a wide range of ages and abilities along with extension ideas. This session will work loosely on the theme of collections.
You will have an opportunity to meet Eleanor Morris, Education and Engagement Manager of the Harley Foundation, who will introduce you to the school workshop programme. If you can stay after 4.00 there will be a chance to visit the Harley Galleries.
The network is open to all staff interested in the arts and in using the arts and creativity across the curriculum. The network meets termly and with the support of Captivate is a FREE resource for schools.

Aimed at schools, colleges, artists and cultural enablers, this event builds on Captivate's first conference in March 2024. We are partnering with Portland College to discuss, experience and take part in workshops, while developing our creative offerings across Nottinghamshire.
Highlights include:
Guest speakers, including representatives from Arts Council England, Zest Theatre Company, Art Psychotherapist Claire Parker, an overview of the Enrichment Framework, and more to be announced.
A Wellbeing Zone featuring Serene Souls relaxation and immersive activities from Moss to Canopy/Forest School.
Creative and wellbeing workshops with ideas to implement in your own setting, led by leading arts and cultural organisations.
Connect, network, and collaborate with fellow educators, artists, and cultural leaders.
