Margarita joined Inspire Youth Arts’ singer songwriter academy in 2016.
The project is based at the Old library. Her journey has been immense.
She has gone from playing alone in her bedroom, unable to perform in front of anyone to performing her own sings in front of 500 people at the Palace Theatre in Mansfield.
Still only 15 years of age, she has grabbed every opportunity presented by IYA which has included recording sessions, being part of an inclusive ensemble re-imagining Beatles songs, busking in a museum!
Margarita had absolutely no confidence in her abilities and just after a few months with IYA she has become a fully-fledged writer and performer- the change is incredible!
